Background
Why network checks come first here
A client's mother once had a plan that looked fine on paper until she needed her specialist and learned he was out of network. Nobody had checked. That afternoon of phone calls is why the first question we ask anyone is who their doctors are.
The routine has not changed since: write down every provider and medication, then price the plans we are appointed to sell against that exact list. Sometimes the plan you already hold wins, and we say so.
Medicare rules come from Washington, but plans are local. In Duval County, what matters is which carriers hold onto Baptist Health, UF Health and Ascension St. Vincent's networks, and which one quietly dropped a clinic last contract year.
